Medicaid is very comprehensive Medical Insurance.
It will cover equipment such as wheelchairs, van lifts, orthotics, medical beds, and other medically related devices. It will also cover prescriptions.
Medicaid does NOT have copayments or deductibles.
But what if you already have private health insurance?
If you (or your child) is already covered by private health insurance, Medicaid will save money…
Private insurance will pay the bills FIRST.
Then Medicaid will pay the remaining balances SECOND.
This will possibly save Medicaid a lot of money, so they will PAY for you to keep this Private insurance.
