Nursing Care-related Waivers focus on preventing individuals being admitted to live in Nursing Homes.
Included in these are:
- CLASS takes into account the official diagnosis of the individual as part of qualifying. To qualify, an individual must have a “related condition” on the current version of the CLASS Related Condition list.
- DB-MD is for individuals with this specific combination of diagnoses – Deaf, Blind, and other impairment.
- MDCP is not based on diagnosis; it only looks at nursing needs.
- Star+Plus Waiver is not based on diagnosis; it also looks at nursing needs.
