Youth Empowerment Services Waiver
Who is eligible:
- Age: Between 3 yrs to 18 yrs old
- Qualifications:
- Have serious functional impairment or acute severe psychiatric symptoms as indicated by:
- Risk of Self-Harm
- Disruptive or Aggressive Behavior
- Lack of Family Resources
- School Behavior
- Current Psychiatric Diagnosis
- Expectation that child would qualify of inpatient care

Unique features:
- Living arrangements: Personal home (family or own)
- Community Living Supports (CLS) – skill training & services to promote communication, reinforce skills, integrate into community activities
- Family Supports – support for primary caregiver
- Therapeutic Peer Supports – fees for specialized groups to deal with issues or improve socialization
- Specialized Therapies:
- Art Therapy
- Music Therapy
- Animal-assisted Therapy
- Recreational Therapy
- Nutritional Counseling
